Auditions and Choirs
Come be a part of the area’s finest in musical ensemble for singers in grades 4-12.

Open Auditions are held seasonally.  Schedule your singer now for their 2011-2012 season audition!  For singers who will be in the 4th-12th grades during the 2011-2012 school year, auditions are being scheduled now.  Call for dates and times.

Private auditions can be scheduled, and are welcomed, at any point during the LYC season.

Audition Preparation
Singers in the 4th-12th grades who audition for membership in The Louisville Youth Choir should be prepared to perform the following for the audition: sing scales to determine the singer’s vocal range, sing with music and accompaniment My Country ‘Tis of Thee, and clap rhythm patterns by reading a musical line and/or by repeating rhythmic patterns that are clapped for them (echo clapping).
